Each week, every student should observe at least one lesson or masterclass, either in person or online. Take notes about any effective or ineffective teaching moments you notice.
Learning Objectives
- Learners will be able to identify the woodwind instruments and describe the correct playing position for each.
- Learners will be able to explain and demonstrate how to make sound on various woodwind mouthpieces.
- Learners will be able to explain the role of the air, lips, tongue, and jaw in sound production.
- Learners will recognize common beginner-level playing problems and suggest reasonable solutions.
- Learners will be able to list and describe warm up or maintenance exercises.
- Learners will add material about woodwind playing into their Toolbox.
